A full-bodied breakfast tea, with rich red colour, fruity malty cup and clean mineral finish. Incredibly good value and very refreshing.    

Origin: Kangaita Tea Estate, Mount Kenya

Ingredients: Camellia sinensis assamica  

Kenya is well known for its tea bag teas, so it's heartening to find great quality orthodox tea, in this case Orange Pekoe grade. The slightly twisted leaves are fully oxidised and give a full flavoured cup with rich colour yet light body and a slight citrus and spice note. 

The assamica plants thrive all year round in the tropical climate, but cooling winds and rains from Lake Victoria temper the heat and enable a good quality and reliable crop.
