As well as meaning Fur Peak, Mao Feng also refers to a plucking standard of two leaves and a bud. Unlike most other green teas, Mao Feng leaves are not kneaded or shaped, but instead retain their natural form. They are then dried in an oven, resulting in yellow-green, slightly curled, crisp and delicate leaves.
Use 2-3g (about 1 tbsp) per 150ml. Infuse 2-3 times for 1-2 minutes. Water temperature should be about 70-80°C.
