A classic, high-grown seasonal tea from Sri Lanka, with brisk medicinal notes.    

Origin: Uva Highlands, Sri Lanka

Ingredients: 100% black tea  

Unusually for us, this is a broken leaf tea: Broken Orange Pekoe grade. It was bought for educational reasons, as it so distinctly demonstrates the characteristic taste of an Uva tea, with medicinal notes of deep heat, which are encouraged by the cold winds experienced at high altitude. 

Brewing Guidelines

  • 3g
  • 250ml
  • 3min
  • 96°C
Brew at 96°C with freshly drawn and filtered water. Use 3g per cup and steep for 2-3 minutes before serving, or to taste.
