Jasmine tea is the world’s most popular scented tea. The tea leaves, whether white or green, are layered with jasmine flowers every night. The flowers are removed in the morning and the process is repeated until the jasmine scent has gently permeated the leaves.
Cheaper imitation jasmine teas are manufactured using a lower quality tea base which is sprayed with jasmine flavour. Pretty jasmine flowers might be mixed in, but the end result will be less integrated than a traditionally scented tea.
